Coach Mike Wolf serves Ignition APG as Director of Trainer Development where his role includes education, mentorship, and professional development for the Ignition APG staff. Coach Wolf brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in executing proper training for professional athletes. Additionally, Coach Wolf serves as an assistant strength coach for the Cincinnati Bengals; he also oversees the NFL Combine and NFL off-season and pre-season programs for veterans.
Prior to joining Ignition, Wolf spent several years as a strength and conditioning coach in the NFL: 2 seasons (2014-16) with the Cleveland Browns; 15 seasons (1995-2010) with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he was selected as the NFL’s Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year in 2001; and 3 seasons (1992-94) with the Minnesota Vikings.
Wolf began his career as a strength and conditioning coach at Vanderbilt before stints at Lehigh and his alma mater, Penn State (1991).
Wolf earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Penn State where he was a center on the football team. He later earned a master’s degree in Health Promotion and Education from Vanderbilt. Mike holds certification from the NSCA (CSCS), USAW, and Ignition Speed System (ISSC).
